St. Patrick’s School says thank you.
“To The Mumbulla Foundation
On behalf of the St Patrick’s staff, students and community I thank you for your support of our school.
Thank you for sponsoring an award that was presented to one of our Year 6 graduating students.
We believe in the importance of acknowledging students who participate in the school and the community beyond, and who are growing their positive attributes for learning, participation, sport and citizenship. Your award was able to give tangible affirmation of these attributes in a St Pat’s student.
With gratitude.
Jo”
Mumbulla Foundation Scholarship Awardees 2019- Where are they now?
Margaret Hansen- Bachelor of Nursing
I was very appreciative to be the recipient of a Mumbulla Foundation Community Scholarship in 2019. Your generosity further inspired me to improve my skills to help others and give back to the community. I am now in my second year of the full time Bachelor of Nursing degree in Bega and working part-time as a home care assistant nurse in our community. By awarding me this scholarship, you have greatly assisted me in being successful, especially in terms of helping with weekly transport costs and paying for workplace placement travel and accommodation costs.
Erin Halloran- Master of Teaching (Secondary)
I am in my final year of the Masters of Teaching (secondary).
This year has been particularly challenging with the Bush fires and Covid-19. The support received from The Mumbulla Foundation has helped me to stay on track and work towards progressing in my career.
I am very much looking forward to supporting our local students in the new post Covid-19 learning landscape.
Loureene Kelly – Bachelor of Nursing
I’m Loureene Kelly, second year nursing student from the Bega Valley Shire. The 2019 Mumbulla scholarship helped relieve the financial strain that comes with undertaking a nursing degree and having to put in so many hours of unpaid placement. As a parent and sole provider to my children I was able to get through my placement with less financial strain and partake in a once in a lifetime placement in Cambodia, for this I am so thankful.
Scholarship Awardees 2020- Thankyou notes
Sarah Buckle – Bachelor of Nursing, first year
I am writing to thank the Mumbulla Foundation for considering my applicationand awarding me this generous community scholarship! The funds from this scholarship will be put toward purchase of my nursing uniforms for student placement, a stethoscope and text books so I will now be better equipped to get out there and engage with the community within the nursing profession as a first year nursing student! Thank you so much! Your support is very much valued and appreciated and I will work hard to contribute and give back to our wonderful community within the Bega Valley.
Claudia Mitchell – Bachelor of Nursing, third year
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for you your generosity in funding the Mumbulla Foundation Community Scholarship. I am very honoured to be the recipient of this award. I am currently in my third year of studies in Bachelor of Nursing, in which we are required to complete a four week and five week placement block. This donation will help assist in travelling costs and accommodation for my placement block in the Illawarra area. I cannot thank you enough. Receiving this scholarship will motivate me to maintain a credit average, and now cut back on the extended hours I work per week to help assist in my university debts. I thank you for your confidence and willingness to help me achieve my goals. I hope to meet you after the impacts of COVID-19, and personally thank you.
Sincerely,
Claudia Suzanne Mitchell
