The Mumbulla Foundation’s annual fundraising event was a great success, raising over $20,000. A crowd of almost 150 attended the Mumbulla Foundation Annual Gala Dinner at Oaklands. The flamboyant Peter FitzSimons, complete with iconic red bandana, proved to be a great hit, regaling his audience with a constant flow of amusing stories from his life as a Wallaby as well as interesting anecdotes from his prolific writing career.
The night continued with a fine dinner provided by Oaklands chef, Clinton Pendlebury, and dancing to local band, Kitty Kat and her Band of Thieves.
The charity auctions again proved successful, helping to raise much needed funds, which will go towards the amount distributed in the form of grants to many community organisations in the Bega Valley Shire.
The Foundation wishes to thank sponsors Bega Cheese, Tarra Motors and Southern Farm Supplies for their generous support. Also thanks go to the many businesses and individuals who donated prizes for the auctions.
